I am glad to be able to report a very positive experience I have had training under Leonard’s supervision. I began personal training sessions with Leonard in April 2007. I had always been out of shape, with efforts at exercise lasting weeks at the most. When I started, I was 10 pounds overweight, had chronic neck and shoulder pain, poor exercise tolerance as well as poor posture. Before we started training, Leonard did a careful assessment of my physical strength and endurance. He prescribed the appropriate cardio and dietary regimen to help with improving endurance and weight loss. From there, we began hour-long training sessions twice weekly. I have found Leonard to be a careful and skilled trainer, always choosing the exercise level that is safe while allowing me to progress quickly toward my goal of increasing muscle tone and improving core strength.
He is extremely knowledgeable about musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology and has a wide variety of exercise routines at his disposal so that he targets problem areas with a varied workout that is never boring and most importantly, never injurious. I always feel as though I am progressing after each workout. I have never felt that I was stuck at a plateau. After 18 months, I lost 10 pounds and am more fit than I have ever been in my nearly 50 years. I have no more neck and shoulder pain, I have good posture to the point of friends and family commenting how much better my posture is and I have greatly improved muscle tone. Everyday physical exertion like running up stairs, carrying luggage or groceries, gardening, and housework are done without dread and with much less effort and fatigue
Also, I have noticed that my energy, mood and general outlook on life has improved as result of feeling stronger and being more fit. Working with Leonard has been a gift and has greatly improved the quality of my life. With Leonard’s help and guidance, this is the first time in my life that I have successfully integrated physical fitness activities into my daily routine. It has been so much fun and has produced such wonderful results for me that I am motivated to continue.

OK, in real life I'm just an ordinary desk jockey just like you, but after a year with a terrific trainer, Leonard, I'm looking (and feeling !) the BEST I have in many years. To get the most out of your workouts, you need a great trainer, and Leonard has the perfect combination of skills and temperament to get you there. Leonard knows how to encourage (and, when necessary, push) you to get the best out of your workouts -- and do it in ways that are both safe and fun. I've been extremely pleased by my progress, and owe it to a terrific trainer.

For my birthday last year, I got what every bride to be wants.......a gym membership and a series of personal training sessions with a certified professional trainer.
Knowing that I wanted to look my best for my wedding day, I reluctantly went to my first appointment. And even after that first training session that left me aching in every muscle imaginable for days, I still, a year later, see Leonard every Tuesday.
He has pushed me to my physical limits, helped me drop 4 dress sizes to look good in my wedding dress, and he prepared for my very first marathon.
He is good at getting the results you want, but even better at being my personal cheerleader and someone I am glad to have as a friend.
When I walked into the gym eighteen months ago, I was possibly the most out of shape person ever to have entered the establishment. More than ten years previously I had been felled by an exotic virus that left me bedridden for two months and sapped muscle strength. For ten years all I could do for exercise was to walk. Certainly I am not in the first blush of youth and having recently lost a considerable amount of weight, I wasn’t just flabby, I was flappy. And I had back problems. What a mess.
I knew I needed a trainer who could work with an out of shape, middle aged client; someone who had the right blend of optimism, patience, persistence, and the ability to push his client hard when needed. The General Manager of the gym suggested that I sign up with Leonard. And I did.
Leonard proved that he has all of the above qualities and more. He is not only patient, he’s diplomatic. He started gently, but was firm. Leonard always provides encouragement, support—both moral and physical when needed, but pushes his clients to their current limits, always safely. He is organized and has a plan for his clients. He sees where someone needs to go and systematically helps them to move along the path, making sure that each muscle group gets its due. Leonard works with his clients rather than dictating to them. He provides each client with an individual workout tailored to their body and their needs. As I continued to work with Leonard, I progressed in weights and in the machines that I could use and exercises I could do.
After about a year and a half, my body is transformed. Really. It happened. The flappy arm skin is almost gone, replaced by muscles. I can lift many, many times what I could when I entered the gym for the first time. My rear is shaped and taught. Who knew that could happen? Well, Leonard did. He is currently acquainting me with the abdominals I never knew.
When I started training with Leonard, I was looking for a committed and knowledgeable trainer who would encourage and challenge me – as well as take an approach to full body fitness. Leonard is all of these things. He takes training seriously creating sessions that mix weight, cardio and balance training. Leonard always challenges me through new exercises and routines to keep me interested and motivated. As a result, I am much stronger, flexible and have better balance and confidence – which helps me ski, bike, hike with more ease and pleasure - all activities I regularly enjoy. Always good humored with a ready smile, he makes training fun. I am fortunate to have Leonard.
A little over a year ago, I walked in to the gym with one goal in mind...Take control of my life and by body by improving my fitness (and look better in my clothes while I'm at it!). I knew I needed help with my motivation, so I signed up for some personal training sessions. By luck, I was paired with Leonard. In the weeks and months that followed, through a combination of time with Leonard, time on my own at the gym, and time focusing on my resolving my bad eating habits, I've lost 30 pounds and am down from a size 14 to a size 8.
It's now been over a year, and can confidently say that Leonard's guidance and support, week after week, has helped me stay on track and achieve my goals. I know I couldn't have done it alone (I had been trying to for years). With his professional expertise and support, in combination with my friends and family, I am happy to say I've made meaningful and permanent life changes that have a positive impact on my health and happiness. I never imagined that committing to one goal could have such an impact on my life, and feel lucky to have had someone talented to work with me on achieving.
I have been training with Leonard since January of 2008. For the better part ofthe last eight months we have trained twice a week. I came to him looking to add overall body strength and add muscle weight. Since our first session in January I have added 15 pounds to my frame, increased my 5 repetition bench press by 20%, and have squatted well over 300 pounds (for reps) for the first time in my lifting life.
Leonard has introduced me to many different types of lifts and alterations to others that I used to do. Each workout is tailored to what I need, yet never being quite the same as the last one. The variety of exercises and combinations of lifts and movements not only keeps me on my toes, but also keeps me from falling into a routine and my body from becoming stagnant and not seeing the improvements I am aiming for. I am personally also very interested in exercise science and personal training and the information and knowledge Leonard shares with me is endless.
Not only has Leonard helped me reach my goals and lengthened my repertoire of exercises and fitness knowledge, but he is always there. In the eight months of training together he has never cancelled on me and has been very flexible with scheduling, always finding time for a session with me, even if it means staying late at night or the weekend.
Overall I could not ask for more. We have made the improvements I have been looking for and are still progressing to my ultimate goals. He keeps it fun and challenging and is constantly keeping me motivated. I plan on continuing to have him as my trainer for a long time to come.
The best compliment you can receive is to be referred by another individual and that is how I became a client of Leonard’s.
A friend at work was getting married and had been working out with Leonard to prepare for the big day. She looked amazing so I decided that if I was going to invest the money that I should do it with someone who had proven results. I had no idea what I was getting myself in to at the time.
Who would have thought I would have a champion in my corner who was a bigger advocate for my goals than I ever could be. He is able to handle the good and bad days but also able to continually challenge my fitness level.
I have already dropped 4 sizes and can’t stop looking at myself in mirrors. I look forward to reaching my end goal and know it is all possible with him in my corner.
Once the weight loss was covered he began to train me to run. Now I was the girl who walked the mile in high school so this was going to be a stretch. I am happy to say he has given me a passion for exercise I never knew I had and also enabled me to join 5K, 10K and even a Half Marathon.
I began training with Leonard about a year ago. Leonard is the fourth trainer I have had at my local Gym. Leonard is also the BEST trainer I have had at my local Gym. He motivates me to push myself farther and harder than I ever thought I could -- or would on my own. And he takes just as much delight as I do when I reach a milestone in my training! I would highly recommend Leonard to someone just starting out or someone who has been at this for a while.
I am extremely pleased with my progress so far, even though I have a very long way to go. From the first session, Leonard has set and maintained a very professional tone.
He is very knowledgeable about what we are doing and why, and he is very personable. I am working much harder than I expected (or wanted).
I have lost about 25 pounds; I have gone from wearing 16s that were too small to wearing 14s that are too big; and I am still getting smaller.
I like working with Leonard and always look forward to my training sessions.
